Todd A. Osborn, MSM, CHS-III - President of Osborn Survival Solutions LLC

An emergency preparedness expert and veteran Army Intelligence Officer with over 15 years of real life experience in natural and man-made disasters, Mr. Osborn is known for pioneering the adoption of military intelligence and logistics techniques into private sector emergency preparedness programs, and the first Emergency Preparedness Manager in the history of John Deere. He is a member of the Safeguard Iowa Partnership (SIP) Operating Council, the National Safety Council’s Panel on Emergency Communications, and recipient of the U.S. Army’s Humanitarian Service Medal. Todd is certified in Homeland Security Level III.


Tess Benham – Program Manager, Home and Community Partnerships and Initiatives of the National Safety Council

Tess Benham is responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of injury prevention programs and other program that promote safety and health in home and community settings. She is responsible for program and grant management of projects within the National Safety Council’s Home and Community Partnerships and Initiatives department.

Tess developed and manages the NSC Emergency Alert Network. In partnership with the CDC, the National Safety Council developed their Emergency Alert Network to provide their members with critical information during a public health emergency.


Dr. Ed Goldberg – Business Continuity Consultant at Northeast Utilities

Dr. Ed Goldberg currently serves as Business Continuity Consultant at Northeast Utilities in Berlin, CT., leading all of NU’s business continuity and disaster recovery planning efforts. Ed was an IT manager at Millstone Nuclear Power Station from 1993 through 2003. His areas of interest include organizational culture, and he is an expert on safety-conscious work environments and the creation and maintenance of such culture in industrial settings.

Ed Goldberg is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), and serves as president of the Connecticut chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners.
