Do I have to send messages to all recipients on my list?

No. You have the option of deselecting individuals from your distribution list before you send your message.


Do I have to send my message to all the devices for each contact?

No, you can send messages to specific devices, or all devices, or text only or voice only devices.


If a recipient's phone is busy, does Send Word Now call back?

Yes. If a phone is busy or does not answer, Send Word Now will retry the call multiple times.


Does Send Word Now leave voicemail if a machine answers?

Yes. In your message details, Send Word Now will indicate whether it reached voicemail and left a message.


Can I use Send Word Now to initiate a conference call?

Yes. When you send a message, select the Bridge to Conference feature. Your message recipients will be automatically connected to a conference call after the message. They will not need to know any dial-in or conference access information.


Does Send Word Now translate the message I type into speech?

Yes. Send Word Now instantly translates the message you type into synthesized speech. This is called Text-to-Speech (TTS) translation.


Can I record a message in my own voice?

Yes. Send Word Now offers an optional feature allowing you to record a message for delivery in your own voice, or the voice of another person.


Can I require recipients to enter a secure (PIN) code in order to listen to a message by phone?

Yes. This requires the optional PIN codes feature to be enabled in your account. If it is, on your message composition page, you will see the checkbox to require the PIN code to be entered. When this box is checked, call recipients will be asked to enter their individual PIN codes to hear the message. For any recipient who does not, or if Send Word Now reaches voicemail, it will play an alternate message you designate when you compose the regular message.


Can Send Word Now deliver messages via international SMS?

Yes. Usage fees apply.


Can Send Word Now send to my Blackberry PIN?

In addition to voice, email, SMS, mobile text messages and inbound calling, Blackberry PINs are just another way of contacting recipients via the Send Word Now service. Users do not need to follow a separate message creation flow to send critical messages to Blackberry users - they simply send their message to the contacts they are targeting, and Blackberry PINs are added to the roster of contact points for the target recipients of the message where appropriate. Through the advent of a dedicated Send Word Now notification client for the Blackberry OS, users will be able to send messages in all aforementioned formats (voice, email, text, PIN. Etc.) to synchronized groups and contacts right from their Blackberry device.


Can I store standard messages for re-use?

Yes. Send Word Now has an easy-to-use templates feature that lets you store, retrieve, modify, and re-use standard messages.
