What is the minimum commitment?

Subscriptions are per year, with multi-year discounts available. Your service plan includes a specific number of contacts (message recipients), an allowance of call minutes, an overage rate, and possibly, charges for premium features.

Can I try Send Word Now before subscribing?

Yes. If you are a professional organization, please contact sales-swn@sendwordnow.com to arrange for an evaluation account. If you are an individual, please go to http://www.palm.com/sendwordnow to download the Palm Treo™ client and receive a free trial subscription.

How much does Send Word Now cost?

Organizations pay according to the number of contacts (message recipients) in their account, for the phone time used, and for any premium features. You can receive a specific quotation for your needs from Send Word Now sales (sales-swn@sendwordnow.com).

Individuals (retail customers) pay according to a monthly (or yearly) plan. Individuals can download a trial version of Send Word Now and review available subscription plans at sales-swn@sendwordnow.com to arrange for an evaluation account. How much do I pay for international calls?

International rates do apply. The rate depends on where you are calling. Please inquire for our rate table.

How are extra charges billed?

You will receive a separate monthly statement from Send Word Now detailing any call minutes overages, international calls, excess conference call minutes, or other special services (such as international SMS or Blackberry PIN messaging). Such usage-based fees are separate from (over and above) your basic subscription fee.

Can I upgrade my Send Word Now subscription without penalty?

Yes. If your usage will exceed your service level, you can upgrade your agreement at a pro-rated amount that also reflects any new volume discounts for which you qualify.

How do I pay for Send Word Now?

SWN accepts corporate credit cards and corporate checks. Where appropriate, SWN extends net payment terms.

Are rates subject to change at any time or set for the duration of my service agreement?

Although service fees are subject to change, rates are honored throughout the life of each subscription contract. Your rates can only go down during any given agreement (for instance, international dialing rates), not up.

What happens if I go over my limit of calls for the year?

It's like a cell phone plan. If you go over the allocation, you simply pay the additional overage, which is billed separately and monthly if needed.

Is there a charge for sending text messages?

Not at this time. But probably in the future.

Do I get charged from my cell phone carrier for receiving a text message from Send Word Now?

It depends on the individual carrier and specific plan.
