“"Brookfield Properties’ headquarters is located at the World Financial Center in downtown Manhattan, which was adjacent to the World Trade Center buildings. After living through the devastation of 9/11, we believe the safety and security of our staff is of paramount importance every day. We chose Send Word Now’s alerting and response service for emergency notification and the additional accountability of employees that it can provide. Brookfield Properties owns and operates buildings in New York, Boston, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Houston, Toronto and Calgary, and we have incorporated Send Word Now into our business continuity plan to ensure that we can communicate with employees at all of our properties in any situation. We use it for fire drills and other alerts to our staff, and find it much easier to use than our previous system."

“With our offices located just four blocks from the White House, Carr Realty Partners is highly cognizant of security issues. We wanted to take a proactive approach to emergency communications, so we selected Send Word Now’s alerting and response service as a key aspect of our emergency preparedness plan. In case of any crisis situation, we can send a text message out to our all of our 50 property employees, or to just a subset of those people in specific areas. True SMS text messaging was important to us because we want to make sure our messages will go through, even if phone lines and cell service are congested. We believe that by implementing this service from Send Word Now, we are delivering additional value to the properties we serve in terms of emergency preparedness.”

“At MB Real Estate,
based in Chicago, our mission is to maximize the value of our clients'
real estate by creating timely and innovative solutions that meet their
unique needs and objectives. One of the solutions that we’ve been able
to provide is an alert service for our clients to keep lines of
communication open. We recently used the Send Word Now Alerts service
to communicate with our tenants at the Citigroup Center during a fire
near that location. The fire was actually a block away, but people
could see and hear the fire engines approaching. To allay fears, we
immediately used Send Word Now Alerts to send out a consistent message
to over 1,500 tenants and inform them not to worry; the fire was not in
our building. By sending this alert, we stopped the huge influx of
calls coming into our management office with questions. Send Word Now
Alerts enabled us to send this message out instantly and avoid panic.
In a non emergency situation, it is the quickest way we've ever been
able to communicate with our tenants.”

"At Boston University, Boston University Medical Center and Boston
Medical Center, we have implemented Send Word Now's on-demand alert and
response service to contact our incident command team and emergency
responders in the event of an emergency or crisis situation, as well as
for weather-related closures or delays.
"
"The ability to initiate a conference call that automatically calls out
to command staff, so that we can quickly and easily discuss a critical
situation and implement an efficient response is a great tool in an
emergency. We have been extremely pleased with the Send Word Now
service, it is easy to use, and the Get Word Back feature lets us track
responses. The database management system also makes it very easy for
contacts to keep their information up to date.
"
"We are now investigating an expansion of Send Word Now from the 400
current contacts to encompass the entire student body. It is important
that we communicate with students in the way they are most comfortable,
and that will reach them most quickly. Our students and their parents
expect Boston University to provide a caring and safe learning
environment. Send Word Now allows us a capability to do that."

"As the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and one of
the world's elite business centers, Sears Tower needs to be
prepared for any issue. Our more than 100 corporate tenants
include some of the world's most prestigious financial
services firms, insurance companies and law firms. It's like
a small city within a metropolis. Keeping our tenants well
informed under any circumstance is key to meeting their high
expectations for service and to effectively managing any
situation. Send Word Now replaced our existing system with a
modern alerting system that initiates contacts to our tenants
on any device they wish - phone, pager, mobile phone or PDA.
We can then receive responses back to ensure everyone is well
served."

Now that the World Health Organization has confirmed
human-to-human transmission of the Avian Flu, the likelihood
of a pandemic outbreak is increased. We learned from the SARS
outbreak, where some countries suffered healthcare worker
fatality rates as high as 50%, that rapid dissemination of
information such as enhanced universal precautions and
syndromic surveillance procedures may have saved lives. As a
result, we have extended our use of Send Word Nows services
to include the Pandemic Management and Alert Service.

We saw the value of Send Word Now, and have been using it as
a means of notifying and activating our policy room, should
there be an emergency declared and the CEO, or Deputy CEO, or
chief administrative officer decides to activate the plan. We
now have a very easy, quick way to get in touch with all the
members of the corporate emergency team.

Every single one of our employees is important to us, so were
implementing Send Word Nows Smart Alerts system on a
company-wide basis for all 25,000 employees. Send Word Now
enables us to be prepared for major crisis situations, such
as a hurricane near our Miami headquarters or a pandemic. It
also simplifies daily business, giving us the ability to
communicate more effectively, for example by sending a survey
to all of our drivers.

The security group is tasked with managing incident
management plans for the company. If an incident occurs
somewhere, we need to begin a communication link for people
who need to respond and support an incident. It is set up so
that it simultaneously hits cell phones, e-mail, home phones
and any other device that is listed. It makes it easier for
us to get that initial connection to people who need to
support an incident management event.
