NEW YORK, NY, May 20, 2015– Send Word Now, the leading worldwide provider of emergency notification and enterprise communications services, announced today that an independent service auditor has issued an unqualified Service Organization Control (“SOC”) 2 Type 2 report applicable to the company’s Alerting Service, Incident Management Service and other related complementary services.
The rigid SOC 2 attestation confirms Send Word Now’s ongoing compliance with objectives for a wide variety of non-financial business reporting controls, with a focus on security.
“We are very pleased that the auditors have issued a clean SOC 2 opinion,” said Andrew S. Baker, Director of Information Security for Send Word Now. “This attestation gives our customers strong, independently verified assurances that Send Word Now holds its business processes surrounding security and resilience to the highest of standards.”
SOC 2 is the professional service organization standard put forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”). The SOC 2 report focuses specifically on a business’s non-financial reporting controls.
